Denton Air Fair

Every year in May Denton hosts an Air Fair at the Denton Municipal Airport which attracts many families and plane enthusiasts from Denton and neighbouring areas. Events include a walk-up display of dozens of planes ranging from the 1909 Bleriot to Navy-flown F-18 fighters. A flight show is also put on to see plane aerobatics, sky divers. Also on display are antique planes, antique cars and antique motorcycles. You can also see Fly-bys of military planes and sky-diving competitions.
Lakeview Marina - Lake Dallas

The marina at Lake Dallas has a new dock. It is open 6 days a week: 8:30 am-12:00 pm and 1:00 pm- 5:00 pm. All lakes in North Texas are manmade, and many are owned and operated by the US Army Corps of Engineers. The main fish caught in the lake are large- mouth bass, white bass, white crappie, hybrid and striped bass and blue and channel catfish.
The Coliseum

The Coliseum was built in 1971 and has a total of 200,492 square feet. With a nickname of 'The Super Pit', and as home to the Eagles Men's and Women's basketball teams, it has been called one of the finest basketball facilities in college athletics. It was designed for multi-purpose use and has great viewing sight lines from any seat in the arena.

"Road Trip"
Once in a while, I will make a business trip to Oklahoma. Since I am located on the Northern Texas border with Oklahoma, it is sometimes easier to drive than fly.
I normally make a pit stop in Denton to fuel up, or grab a bite to eat, so I will add tips as warranted to this page.
