La Quinta Inn El Paso West (Remcon Cir)
We stayed at the La Quinta off I-10, exit 11 the night of 31 Aug. We got our room on Priceline for just $40. This is your basic La Quinta with clean rooms, swimming pool, free parking, wireless internet, and complimentary breakfast. This hotel is in a very nice shopping area, across the street from WalMart and easy walking distance to about 15 restaurants from fast food, to big chains, to local places. We were torn between Famous Dave's and Jaxon's Brewery, but less than 1/4 mile away, but Jaxon's won out due to their wide variety of menu choices. You will also find a few ice cream places nearby.
I also enjoyed this area due to its easy running route...all of the streets have sidewalks, so I wasn't dodging traffic. I ran around Remcon Circle behind Walmart then up to Mesa. It was a great 4 mile out and back course.
