Stockyards Area Parking
by ATXtraveler
Most of the locations in the Stockyards are controlled by a central parking agency. During the evening timeframe, they normally take a $5 fee at the front of the parking area, and during the day they have an honor system where you stick 2 dollars per hour in a lock box for the spot you park in. I noticed that these spots were pretty well patrolled, so I would not risk skipping out on the parking, as you will likely get towed.
One of the other value options if you want to feel a little safer is that many valet stands around also only charge $5. This will at least allow the car to be parked around an area where they are constantly walking past it.

Thistle Hill
by sswagner
This is one of Fort Worth's finest mansions, and now it has been preserved as a historic site. The mansion is available for tours at select times to see the 18 rooms. The architecture is said to be Georgian Revival, and this style is not so common in this area. The interior features rooms such as the grand staircase areaa, a billiard room, a library, bedrooms, and a dining room.
Thistle Hill is available for rentals when it is needed for special occasions. Many people have their wedding here. Yet, the mansion plays host to many special functions. Thistle Hill is almost surrounded by Fort Worth's medical district. It has a nice lot size, however it is no longer surrounded by homes that match its historic value. Rather, it stands alone in a much more developed part of town.
To reach it, take the Summit Blvd exit and go South. Go one block past Pennsylvania to Pruitt and turn left. On the left should be the entrance to the Thistle Hill parking lot. Even if it is closed, it might be worth a quick look at the outside through the gates.
ARLINGTON - Ameriquest Field
by keeweechic
Formerly known as the Arlington Ball Park , Ameriquest Field is home of the Texas Rangers. This stadium cost $191 million and took 23 months to build, it has a capacity for 49,178 people. There is an infield tarp that is mounted on hydraulic lifts and stored below ground level. Inside the park there is a 17,000sqft museum and children's learning centre and a 4 story office building.
The field itself is 22ft below street level so as to avoid summer winds. Outside the park there is the Rangers Walk of Fame where you can read about each team in franchise history on the brick path beneath them.
Adjacent to Six Flags over Texas on the west side of the amusement park at the northwest corner of East Randol Mill Road and Ballpark Way.
