Etta's is a charming little B&B in Sundance Square. Etta was the girlfriend
or lover of the Sundance Kid and it is believed she was a teacher by day and a bordello madam by night.
The site of the hotel is supposed to be where Butch and Sundance spent a night now and then. Each of the 10 rooms are named after one of the members (or their girlfriends) of the Hole in the Wall Gang.
Unique Quality: The décor is of furnishings of the era with antiques and each room comes with a full kitchen and bathroom. The bathtubs are delightful with sculptured legs.
With the room comes a complimentary breakfast which is described as a 'multi course gourmet delight'. There is also a private dining room, library, two patios and a common room with a piano.
Etta's is not cheap at around US$125 a night.
Ettas Place is a cosy little hotel on the second floor of a landmark building in the downtown area. It was named for Etta Place, who was the girlfriend of the Sundance Kid and who operated an Inn in Fort Worth’s Hell’s Half Acre. The rooms are spacious with lots of light and of course the necessary Texas touches which include antiques, horseshoe lamps, and Americana quilts. There are 5 queen sized rooms, one corner King room, 3 roomy luxury suites with a king-size bed and kitchen, and a third-floor split-level loft, "Etta's Room" (room no. 302), which overlooks the rooftop terrace. A full home-cooked breakfast is included.
