The first thing this hotel has going for itself is location, style, and services. It's a four star hotel and can back up what they boast. I've stayed here probably about 8 years ago and its was fun. The rooms are decorated nicely and I remember the beds were really comfortable. About the one thing I remember is the walls were thin and you can hear foot traffic. Yet, if you get a room that faces Sundance Square area you have a fabulous view. Plus, with it being right downtown, you can easily walk around and find some place to eat easily or hop on the trolley and explore.
The downside is the hotel does not have its own parking, but there is a parking garage right next door.

Marriott Renaissance Worthington Hotel
This hotel is right downtown opposite the Sundance Outlet Mall in Sundance Square. The building is 13 stories high sloping down with the shape of the building to 3 stories, with 504 rooms and takes up 3 city blocks. There are two lobbies, the guests lobby has a wonderful mural behind the reception counter depicting the downtown area of Fort Worth. Check-in is 3.00pm and check-out is noon. Unfortunately they do not have onsite parking.

The Renaissance Worthington Best Brunch!
The Renaissance DFW Worthington is a beautiful Hotel in Fort Worth's popular and Historic Sundance Square. This is the area to be in downtown Fort Worth and the Hotel itself is beautiful and very comfortable. The entry is very nice and decorated with abundant fresh in season blooms and quite a few nice antiques. The valets were very attentive and careful and check in went smoothly. The rooms are above average and nice but plainly decorated and the service is excellent but the thing that I must rave about is the Sunday Champagne brunch.
Unique Quality: Update May 2005: I believe that this is no longer a "Champagne Brunch" but the champagne was not the main idea here. Definately, reserve a table.
The buffet style Champagne Brunch table deocrated with Ice Sculptures and extensive fresh flowers has everything you could ever want and more. This was my favorite brunch at any hotel anywhere. There was light as air quiche lorraine, cold tuna steak and decadent cream cheese, perfect popovers with flavored spread, black caviar and crackers and plenty of champagne to help it all go down. I don't drink often especially in the morning so my opinion may be a bit blurred but I was awed by the delicious morsels. If you stay on a Sunday you must try the brunch!!! The Sundance Square area is home to several nice upscale clubs, museums and even a movie Theater. The dining is varied and good. I reccomend the Uno's Gourmet Pizzaria.

The Renaissance Worthington. ...
The Renaissance Worthington. Probably the nicest hotel in town
Unique Quality: Great view of downtown if you get a room on the south side. The suites are very nice and spacious. Valet parking, large conference areas, sky walkway to Tandy outlet mall.
(update 07/07) I haven't been there in many years. I do know they no longer have the really nice Sunday brunch on the walkway and the fabulous 4 star restaurant, Reflections, closed a few years ago. I'm guessing it is still nice overall, but cannot say for sure.

The Star of Texas
by Dutchnatasja about Renaissance Worthington Hotel Fort Worth
My partner and I stayed at the Renaissance for 5 nights. He had a business meeting and I came along. The hotel is located in the heart of Sundance Square. From the Renaissance Worthington (also known as ‘the Star of Texas’) you can walk to the restaurants, bars and shops. When walk into the hotel, you’ll notice the high ceilings and waterfall. There are benches and chairs in the Southern style of Texas.
The room color gives you a warm and welcome feeling. The yellow, crème and red color and the dark brown furniture is a good combination. The bed has cotton white linens, which looks very fresh and several different pillows so you can choose the one you like and sleep well. The rooms are spacious. There is a chair with a small table (with magazines), a desk with a comfortable chair, an extra bench and a nice bathroom. The finishing touch were the flowers and plants. For longer stays this hotel is just perfect! We had a Club Level room and therefore access to the Club lounge. That means breakfast in the morning; they call it ‘hot buffet breakfast’. The only hot item was scrambled eggs. The pastries were good and there is a lot of fresh fruit. There are also afternoon snacks and drinks. There is a refrigerator with several beverages and water. You can take beverages 24/7. The Club Lounge is closed in the weekend.
The hotel can be crowded with business people. There are always a lot of conferences going on.
The Stockyards are a short drive away. If you don’t want to drive you can take the trolley. The trolley station in next to the hotel. The day I wanted to take the trolley, I couldn’t find it. I decided to take the bus and for 2 dollars I had a two-way ticket to the Stockyard!
The hotel staff is very friendly and polite. I will stay here again, if I ever go to Fort Worth. I highly recommend this hotel to business people, tourists and everybody else who needs a decent hotel.

Sundance Square is 5.5 to 6 miles directly south of your hotel. Your hotel is near the loop (820) on the north side of town just off of I-35W, and Sundance Square is right downtown also just off I-35W.
Go to maps.yahoo.com, enter "2540 Meacham Blvd., Fort Worth TX" for the starting address, and "200 main street, ft. worth, texas" for your destination (this is the Worthington Hotel, which is close enough), and you'll see what I mean...
