Historical Fredericksburg Texas Bed and Breakfast

The Palo Alto Creek Farm is not a hosted facility, and has 4 very private houses on the property. There is a generous continental plus breakfast in the house, and you can also have spa treatments on-site. This farm is extremely historic, and buildings from the original homesteaders in 1854 are available for lodging. It would be a very unique, romantic and luxurious stay for anyone who found it.

Unique Quality: The Itz House is the largest home on the farm. It would be a great choice for a family traveling together or a group of friends that wanted to get away. Along with everything you need in the house and a big fireplace, there is an adorable "sleeping porch" with a day bed for two people. It is prefect for watching a lightening storm at night, or the big Texas stars if it is clear. There is a queen bed upstairs and also bunk beds if necessary. One thing to note: the stairs to the second floor are very steep, so if you are bringing Grandma that is fine, but she will want to sleep downstairs. There is a bathroom with a tub and hand-held shower, which could also be a hazard for an elderly person. So overall this is not an extremely handicap - accessible facility.
The ranch property itself is stunning - slow lazy hills, a huge Live Oak (probably close to 800 years old). There is plenty of land to explore on hikes, bikes or with children. The farm also offers in-house spa services like facials, massage etc.
