Many, many years ago {approx 696 months} my siblings & I resided @ a place named Industrial Home in Houston Tx. during the day time until our single parent father came to taks us home each afternnon.
Has anyone ever heard of it, know where it iz located, have any photos to view?

Can't say that I've ever heard of it (but, then, I grew up in Beaumont, not Houston). I guess you've seen on the Internet similar places in West Virginia and Virginia, so maybe this was a nationwide thing many years ago.

Hello, I'm wondering if any one has ever heard of Faith Home or Industrial Home that was like an orphaage in the Houston Tx Area in the 30's 40's 50's. I know about Depelchin Faith Home in Houston but, the one I'm trying to find out about is not associated with Depelchin. Thanks in advance for you help. "

On January 27, 1940, thirteen residents were rescued from a fire in the Salvation Army's Industrial Home at 915 McKee. Four employees of the Industrial Home died in the fire.

915 McKee puts it right next to I-10 on the north side of Buffalo Bayou. If it wasn't swallowed by one of the many I-10 expansions over the years, it's most likely something else now.
The Superbowl was actually a great event. The new stadium (which we are all paying for) proved to be a worthy venue for such a world class party. Comfortable walking shoes as parking near the stadium is as rare as an honest opinion on the president.
Good people watching (and some cool cats) can be found driving down Westheimer, several miles east of the Galleria, in the 200 to 900 block. Park and walk yourself- there are lots of fun shops, plus a few tattoo parlors. Eat at Empire Cafe, casual gourmet food.
This restaurant is known for the peking duck. Lots of people go there, but it is a small restaurant and on busy nights sometimes there is a wait. Sometimes it's so busy that service suffers, but the food is worth it! Be patient and enjoy the meal. The Peking Duck ($23, feeds 4) is the house specialty and LOTS of people go there just for that! They serve the meat with the crispy skin and white sweet buns. It's SOOOO good! (But they don't serve the soup or stir fry courses that sometimes are served with the duck.)
Get the family dinners where four or more entrees are served. It's the traditional family-style way of eating!

A lovely lake, an elegant reflecting pool, a Japanese garden, beautiful trees make this park in Houston very pleasant to stroll through. The best times are October-November and April-May for perfect temperatures. There is also a little train that drives around it (see picture). The reflecting pool has the statue of Sam Houston on its North end, and a small obelisk at the South end. The parc is located close to the Museum District, with even the Museum of Natural Sciences and the Houston Zoo on its grounds. It is also right next to Rice University and the Medical Center.
We always parc at the free parking lot of the Museum of Fine Arts on Main Street and then walk a block to the parc. You can also take the tramway.
