Fantastic room, great location!
I really loved this hotel. The room was one of the best I've ever stayed in and I've been in some of the top five star hotels in the world. My suite had a king-sized bed, a giant TV, lounge area, nice bathroom and an unobtrusive kitchenette stocked with coffee and tea. I chose the Holiday Inn Express because of its great location within walking distance of the downtown area, the Toyota Center and Minute Maid Park. If you are driving, there is a big forecourt parking lot.
Amenities include a fitness center, small indoor swimming pool and spa. There are two PCs with free internet in the hotel lounge area plus free wireless connection in all rooms. The one disadvantage of this hotel is that it doesn't have a restaurant and there are no restaurants open in the immediate area at night.
I paid $140 for a suite, booked online. An excellent buffet breakfast is included. It was definitely worth it.
