The World's Smallest Luxury Hotel
La Colombe d'Or is not called the world's smallest luxury hotel for nothing. The mansion was built in 1923 and in 1979 was converted into a hotel by Mr. Zimmerman. The hotel has 6 suites all with enormous beds, bathrooms and dining rooms which can also double as conference rooms. The friendly staff are ready to cater to your every need and pamper you like royalty. Oh, and if you don't feel like going out to eat there is an amazing french restaurant on the first floor of the hotel. The ammenities and the historical atmosphere make staying at La Columbe d'Or and unforgetable experience.
Unique Quality: Mr. Zimmerman didn't stop with just the mansion he also purchased Le Grand Salon de la Comtesse. The salon was built in France around 1730 and was about to be demolished when Mr. Z had it dismantled and shipped to Houston where it was reassembled in all it's glory. Upon entering the salon you will see several marble columns along walls of the L-shaped foyer, make sure to take a look at the names of past visitors before entering the ballroom.
