Very convenient with comfy beds
After a late arrival at IAH, it was great to be able to get to our room at the Marriott IAH simply by using the airport train -- it has a stop at the hotel. It was nice to be able to get to bed quickly before starting out on an 11-day drive through TX. Lastly, the beds are very comfortable!
Unique Quality: From baggage claim, go down one level to the underground train. It will stop at the Marriott.

Hotels near George Bush International
We may have to overnight in Houston on our trip to Mexico, and I'm trying to find hotels that are near the airport, but have no idea what town/suburb they may be in. I find the airport website not very helpful. If anyone can help me I would be grateful! Thanks :o)

it's really not that bad of an airport either. anyway, if you really want to get a hotel look for hotels in humble, tx (that's the town just north of the airport)...but really, if you type in IAH for city in any hotel reservation, it'll know you're looking for hotels near the airport.

It looks like there is a Mariott actually at the airport (i.e., on-site):

Well, here is a probably more informative way of finding hotels...
1. Go to www.yellowpages.com
2. Enter "hotels" on the left, and "77032" on the right.
I got 418 hits. Note that John F Kennedy Blvd runs right up to the airport...

This is all assuming you're leaving out of the main airport ... not Hobby - possibly Hobby does not do international flights and you're in the right one, but I don't know for sure.

There are several budget hotels near IAH. Look for ones on JFK Blvd or Will Clayton, most of them will have shuttles or it will be a $5 cab ride to get there because they are so close. Feel free to e-mail me if you have questions about a specific one. There is a Sleep Inn and Comfort Suites that should be the most affordable.
