Houston's freeways can be...
by newyorker300
Houston's freeways can be kinda scary. They are big and full of people. also, each one has about three names so, make sure you get exact directions when trying to get somewhere...like I45 instead of just the north freeway...which could also be the gulf freeway depending on what side of town you are on.
For the North Side.....
by msbrandysue about Houston Premium Outlets
In March of 2008 Houston built their first premium outlet center on 290 towards Fairfield. Right now it's still building clientele and big names. However, the Coach outlet draws a lot of people as does Nike, Reebox, and Addidas. Since there is a neighborhood nearby I don't know much about expanding like the San Marcos outlets did but I could see this getting bigger and bigger. Most of the shops are clothing and kitchenware. Cheaper than department stores and surrounding malls. Most discounts are 40%.

Excellente! Fabulouso! Fantisimo!
Disclaimer: if you happen to be a narrow, closed homophobic, you might want to steer clear of this area of town. Ahhh, what sweet memoirs can be captivated by only one favorite dish?

by msbrandysue about Sweet Tomatoes
Sweet tomatoes is a salad bar extraordinare. When you walk in you immediately get in line for your salad. There's all the types of lettuce, dressings, and veggies you could ask for, including the pasta salads. Chicken is available but it costs like $1.50 extra. After you fill your plate you pay the cashier for your meal and find a seat.
Then make sure you visit the bakery, soups, potatoes, and pasta bar. They have wonderful breads, pizza, breadsticks, soups, potatoes, sweet potatoes, pastas such as macaroni and desserts.
It's awesome!! I always get a caesar salad. The sourdough is good...So are the special breadsticks they make. Everything is incredible here!!!
