Texas Stadium--Home of the Dallas Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys are part of the National Football League and have gone to the Super Bowl eight times--more than any other team!
Until the new stadium is completed, the Dallas Cowboys meet their competition at Texas Stadium, built in 1971. The stadium seats 65,812, has an artificial turf field and features a non-closeable roof.
There is a pro shop and many concession stands at which to grab a bite to eat. The pro-shop is located outside of the stadium that is filled with Cowboy souvenirs--shirts, mugs, footballs, hats, keychains...anything and everything you might want. We selected some tall plastic mugs which lit up at the base and sported the Dallas Cowboys logo for our grandkids.
This facility is also a venue for concerts and motorcrosses.
Tours of the stadium are available from 10 am-4 pm Mon.-Sat. and 11 am-3 pm on the hour at Gate 8. Note: tours are cancelled 24 hrs. before a game. For more information call 972-556-9396. Parking is available on the grounds for a fee. No outside food, drinks or coolers are permitted.
