Lubbock can be hot in the summer (May-Sept), so remember headgear, sun screen and sunglasses. It can also get cold and windy in the Winter (Oct.-Mar.), so pack a jacket, gloves, etc. if you plan to spend time outdoors. A good place to get weather information for any location is: http://wunderground.com/ See Above. Personal medications and extra prescriptions for emergencies. Any will do! Not much in the way of camping is available. A wise man once said about travel: 'Take half as much clothes and twice as much money as you expect to need'! However, Lubbock is one of Texas' best kept secrets. Not much money is needed!
