Hotel Marshall: A Bygone Era

This once impressive 8 storey, 84 room Hotel was completed in 1929 at a cost of $350,000.

The hotel was closed commercially in the late 1970’s. The local university then purchased the building and for a couple of years, the first three floors were used as dorm rooms. As of this year (2002), the building is up for sale for only $10,000 than it was originally built for and it is hoped that it will be restored because of its location and the Wonderland of Lights festival which brings hundreds of visitors each Christmas.
