Landa Park
The jewel of New Braunfels, this beautiful park is a favorite spot for picnics, boating or tubing on the Comal River, golf, and other outdoor recreation. It's very much like Brackenridge Park in San Antonio.

"About town"
I have lived here in New Braunfels for 3 years now and I love it. Originally, I am from a very small town in upstate New York - about an hour from anything! One of the things I love most about New Braunfels is that it has the small town feeling that I am acquainted with but has many of the conveniences of a city. And if you can't find something here you are only about 20-30 minutes from San Antonio and about 45 minutes from Austin - two very different and unique cities. Population is just around the 50,000 mark and the historic influences are mostly German and Hispanic. A few good restaurants, but not a whole lot of variety as far as dining experiences go.
