An interesting tidbit. In 1984 director Wim Wenders created his most memorable movie masterpiece titled Paris, Texas. The film stars Harry Dean Stanton and Nastassja Kinski and in my opinion is brilliantly directed. This is an unusual road movie, with screenplay by acclaimed playwright Sam Shepard, tells the tale of Travis, a man lost in his own private hell. Presumed dead for four years, he reappears from the desert on the Mexico border, world-weary ,a semi amnesiac and in need for his son and wife with whom he abandoned years before.I suggest if you have not seen it to go out and rent it at once. It is a beautiful story with beautiful location shots.

Hayden Museum of American Art
The Hayden Museum of American Art consists of four galleries, the largest of which houses the permanent collection of graphic art, archival photography, and American chairs. This collection includes examples from every art period and American master painters are generously represented. The pieces are arranged chronologically to present a complete history of the American art scene from Folk Art to Modern and Contemporary. Seminar and Lecture facilities are available as well as an outstanding library. Admission is free but by appointment only.

My mother was born and raised in this little Texas town. It is a fairly small place with only about 26,000 people inhabiting its streets. But with this small group of people comes alot of smiling faces.
