pasadena just west of deer park and mostly surrounded by houston on three sides is the houston area bakersfield. most of the housing built about the same time as inner city houston. last time i was there four years ago housing there and near downtown houston cost about the same.housing near downtown houston has tripled or more. but no such boom has been reported in pasadena. you will probably hear spanish spoken here more than english. and they say that when you use the drive in windows at most of the fast food places they ask in spanish for your order. web pages addressses on my houston page may be helpful to you.
