Southfork hotel not quite at Southfork Ranch
Stayed here on business and have mixed reviews. The hotel was purchased a few years ago by ForeverResorts.com and in name only connected it to the Southfork Ranch that they already own. The Ranch is "nearby" but not within walking distance. The lobby/bar area is quite beautiful, but gone are they days of the well known bartender/staff and the busy after hours crowd. The rooms are average, with the beds being slightly on the uncomfortable side. When I was last there the new owners had done little to renovate or update the property. Rooms are very 1970's in decor. I wouldn't seek to stay there again, but I wouldn't be upset if I had to.
Unique Quality: Pool was nice and well kept, and the location was relatively easy to access.
