Nestled in the heart of historic Salado's shopping and restaurant district, The Inn at Salado, is ideally situated. This two story building was constructed in 1872 as a private home, but now boasts '11 individual guest rooms and cottage'. Each of the rooms have a private bathroom, with a night's lodging ranging from $112-$162 on the weekend; during the week is less.
I wanted to know more about this homey looking Inn, so I went to its website. It is not only listed as a Texas historical marker, but is also included in the National Register of Historic Places.
A full breakfast is served each day, which sounds positively filling! You'll have "an old-world style quiche, biscuits, sausage gravy, seasonal fruit and waffles". Now that's starting the day right!
Inn at Salado has been featured in Southern Living Magazine, the Dallas Morning News and The an Antonio Express. It's also a top ten favorite on the Reader's Choice poll.
