Dirty rooms- rude owner
THIS IS NO LONGER A COMFORT INN...it is now owned locally and is RENAMED A RODEWAY INN.
We were in San Angelo to participate in a competition held locally, upon our registration, we were given a list of "host" hotel/motels to stay at. We made reservations for 3 nights and requested non-smoking. Upon checking in we went to our room to get out of the heat and discovered a filthy surrounding, and a room smelling of lingering smoke. Upon turning back the covers on the bed we discovered dirty sheets with body hairs, body fluid stains and a pair of dirty, nasty panties left by the previous "guest". In looking at the rest of the room, there was a dirty coffee pot, dirty sink, and more black hairs on the bottom of the tub. No other room was offered us, but housekeeping came and thoroughly cleaned the room and changed the sheets and she was extremely embarrassed and apologetic. NO APOLOGY came from the owner, that is also the manager....he was rude and arrogant.
the Continental breakfast was an afterthought and extremely unappealling.
the air conditioner either ran all the time to give a "cool" room or it didn't run at all and it got "steamy".
I wouldn't recommend this hotel/motel to anyone at any price. This should not be given a second thought.....we will never stay there again.
