do you know the address for the wedding island??

I don't know the exact address, but it's located across from the CPS building. You can contact the City of San Antonio Parks and Recreation Department at 210-207-7275 to reserve it.
My daughter had her ceremony there in December of 05. It's a great spot for a small intimate affair.
Travel Tips for San Antonio
Locals favorite Q
by raevnzno
Bill Miller is a local institution and a lifesaver when you're jones-in for some bar-b-que in the middle of the week and don't have the time it takes for the real stuff from your backyard grill. Don't hesitate to stop in for a meal, or just a quick snack. Good stuff. I miss the Tea and Brownies. Best mid afternoon pick-me up. I never leave San Antonio without stopping for take out for my plane ride. Tons better than the peanuts and complimentary soft drinks that the airlines provide!
LBJ RANCH
by mtncorg
Lyndon Johnson's family had come to this area in the 1850's and the story of his family can best be experienced by visiting the Johnson Settlement near the LBJ Boyhood Home in Johnson City. But it is here at the LBJ Ranch that you can really get an understanding of LBJ. The 36th President, Johnson was the last President who could claim experience with the older rural frontiers and the urban world of today. LBJ bought the Ranch in 1951 from his aunt and uncle. This was his home when he was not in Washington, D.C., until his death in early 1973 at only 64. To visit the Ranch, you need to board the National Park tour buses - $6 charge - at the Visitor Center just off US 290. The tours run on the hour and run past wildflower gardens and the old river ford entrance to the Ranch. Next comes the reconstructed LBJ Birthplace and the Johnson Family Cemetery before you reach the Ranch, itself. The Ranch and home here have been left to the National Park Service. The house will slowly be opened to the public in subsequent years - the West Office is due to be opened this summer - with the death of LBJ's wife, Lady Bird, last summer (2007). The tour goes past several old cars that the Johnsons used and out onto the landing strip that LBJ had installed after an enforced stay on the Ranch that he had to endure during an extended flood of the Pedernales River - there being no bridge at the time.
Fly into San Antonio...
by Kay_C
Fly into San Antonio International Airport, it is 13 miles from the downtown River Walk and is directly linked via expressway. INFORMATION 210-207-3411
There are shuttles (SATRANS) from the Airport to the Riverwalk area - it cost approx $15 roundtrip with tip.
The boats on the River Walk are a good way to see everything, otherwise I just walked. Taxi-Cabs are easy to find as well.
seafood
by doug48 about landry's
landry's is a chain restaurant with locations in the southeast. landry's is known for it's very good seafood selection at moderate prices. the san antonio landry's has a very nice decor and seafood is excellent. one word of warning, landry's is very popular and you will get better service if you arrive early in the evening. also after 5:00 pm reservations are recommened in that there is usually an hour wait for walk ins. good seafood moderately priced.
Don't Forget to see the Alamo!
by MatthewMetcalfe
The Alamo serves as the cornerstone of San Antonios American History. It is considered a Shrine of Texas Independence.
Although many people will tell you to brace yourself on your first visit because it's not all it's cracked up to be, I found it to be more than I expected. No, the Alamo is not huge but the history that is packed inside and around the mission is plentiful. The crowds can be large so try and go during an off peak time to minimize the hassle.
No photographs are allowed inside and the Texas Rangers guarding the Alamo looked like they could enforce it.
No, PeeWee Herman's bike isn't in the Basement.
