Justin and I stayed in this hotel in March 2004. We were only in the San Antonio area for about 3-4 days, but this hotel was wonderful.
The rooms are plenty big. Embassy Suites is known for thier large two room suites. The rooms were very clean and nicely furnished.
We loved that they had an evening reception from 5-7 pm each night. Basically, there are free cocktails for people over 21, and other beverages for minors.
The breakfast was also fantastic. They do a made or order breakfast, along with other continental style items. You can get bacon, eggs, sausage, pancakes, omeletes, pretty much anything you want. They also have muffins, juice, cereal and those type things.
Unique Quality: We really wanted to go swimming, and we did get to a little bit, but for the majority of the trip there were a lot of children in the pool. That is ok, as long as they aren't taking up the entire pool and splashing everyone.

This is sort of a hybrid mix of an elegant downtown Hilton and its namesake Embassy Suites. The rooms have two areas: bedroom and a living/work area with a small fridge and microwave. On the first floor there is a cavernous area used for the complementary hot breakfast in the morning and the nightly manager's Reception from 5:30 to 7:30.
Almost half the rooms have small but functional balconies, most of which look out over the Riverwalk.
