Right now we're experiencing what can only be described as 'mucky' weather. It's been down in the 40s, up in the 70s, cloudy, drizzly and clear. We have a saying in Texas, "If you don't like the weather, give it a minute and it'll change." I'd pack light to mid-weight clothing (jeans, slacks, long-sleeved tees and short-sleeved too), a good jacket can usually see you through most of this weather. No winter parkas, no bulky sweaters that take up too much packing space. And remember, "it's not the heat (or cold), it's the humidity." And welcome to Texas! ^_^

Hi, I use www.wunderground.com as this site has a historical view feature so you can look at what the weather is doing at the moment and also check on what the weather was like for the same period last year or whatever dates you select to give you more useful info. Hope this helps.

Travel Tips for San Antonio
You must go to the Riverwalk. ...
by CJD68
You must go to the Riverwalk. Take a boat tour of the river during the day and then cruise the walk by foot at dusk. I treated my girlfriend & her sister to a wonderful Itallian dinner right on the Riverwalk. We ate dinner as the sun set and then music and voices began to fill the air. We enjoyed a few bottles of wine, I bought each of the ladies a rose, then we strolled along the river for several hours.
San Antonio's Santeria Superstore!
by Jefie
I read about Papa Jim's Botanica in a tour guide and was curious to see what a botanica was like - well, I wasn't disappointed! It's a bit out of the way, in the southern part of the city (5630 S Flores St), so you'll need to drive out there but who wouldn't drive a few miles to get a bottle of Stop-Gossip floor wash or Jinx Removal air freshener?! Not to mention the Bingo-Luck bubble bath and herbal Viagra. And if that really doesn't appeal to you, you can always go next door, to Papa Jim's Tropical Fish store!
Wheels...
by ATXtraveler
If you are planning to explore more than just the Riverwalk, then I would recommend investing in your own wheels for the trip. In our case, we chose to drive down from Dallas, but there are also plenty of rental car options in and around San Antonio. Several of the downtown hotels also offer rental cars through various providers, so check with your hotel if you do not already have an advanced booking.
Best Black Forest Cake
by lisa_lise about The Metropolitain
This is a beautiful French restaurant with not much square footage but massive vaulted ceilings and walls of floor-to-ceiling windows. There's also a patio that's perfect for hanging out with some girlfriends on a spring/summer/fall night. (Texas doesn't have much distinction between seasons.) Not so great for entrees (the crepes are dry and the quiche is filling but still slightly dry), but the dessert is fabulous. Most people I know go there strictly for dessert. See web link at the end of this tip for review. 3 words: black forest cake.
going to see the alamo
by bluepigsinthesky
even if u're not learned in the history of texas, or the the history of the United States, go see this monumental heritage. Located in the heart of San Antonio, this landmark have information boards of the history of the building. When i went there, there was a "tour-guide" person who related the tale of the Alamo capturing by Santa Anna of Mexico. a very cool place to go and check out.
