Sea World or Six Flags?

by smallpond2

Where would my time be better spent?

Six Flags Fiesta Texas or Sea World?
Is it worth the money to go to both or are they kinda the same thing?

Re: Sea World or Six Flags?

by TexasDave

All depends on your preferences.

Sea World- More sea animals, fewer rides and shows.

Fiesta Texas- No animals, more rides and shows.

They are definetly different. If you have enough time, do them both.

Unless you're really into sea creatures, I would say go to Six Flags. I thought Sea World was money well burnt...all day long I saw different animals do the exact same "tricks."
Six Flags will have more rides.

Sea World is one of my favorite places, but then I love all the sea creatures, and up close views. So it depends on your taste. If you are mostly into big rides, then Six Flags is for you. If you really love nature, and enjoy seeing well presented sea creatures up close, then go to Sea World. Sea World has rides, but that is not the main event.

Travel Tips for San Antonio

by noahsdad

Dine at a restaurant on the Riverwalk. Before dinner, stroll the non-commercial areas of the Riverwalk. They are carefully landscaped, well-maintained green spaces by the water where you can relax watching ducks and fish. Of course, there's the Alamo and the (Mexican) Governor's Palace.

HILL COUNTRY

by mtncorg

The AAA Hill Country map covers an area approximately triangular in shape with Austin and San Antonio at two of the apexes and Fredericksburg-Kerrvill at the third. Within this area, undulating oak covered hills mark the transition zone from the wide coastal plains to the Edwards Plateau. A much more rugged region lies to the immediate west between the towns of Bandera and Leakey. Here, you will find real 'hills' unlike the slight affairs you find near Fredericksburg and Johnson City, both of which are considered as being deep inside Hill Country. The area is home to the much beloved touristy town of Fredericksburg, the nearby LBJ historic sites - LBJ Ranch near Stonewall and LBJ Boyhood Home in Johnson City - as well as popular State Parks - Enchanted Rock, Pedernales Falls, Lost Maples, Guadalupe River. For water lovers, there is the large Canyon Lake and the inner tubing flows of the Guadalupe, Pedernales and San Marcos Rivers.

San Antonio trolley cars

by Kodi01

The have convenient trolley cars that will take you around the city for .50 cents.

The taxi was only $3.00 from downtown area to the hotel. Very inexpensive to get around town.

Here is my friend, we both are crazy and make friends where ever we go.

Leaning bar of San Antonio

by rsleisk about Liberty Bar

Liberty Bar is a vertically challenged San Antonio mainstay for great food. The building began in 1890's as a brothel and got its distinct character from a 1920's flood.

The food is American but there are Tex-Mex favorites as well. Homemade breads and pies. More of a restaurant than a bar but they have a good beer and wine list and a bar area in the back.

Seating is limited so I would make a reservation.

Sign up for live bull riding 3-4:30 p.m.; riding begins at 5 p.m. Free admission, $10 per ride. Every Sunday.
