One of the top National Basketball Association (NBA) teams, San Antonio Spurs, call San Antonio their home. Home games for the Spurs are played at the SBC Center. Call for schedule and tickets, or visit their web site and purchase your tickets on line. The Spurs extensive web site will give you information about the team and its players as well as ticket information, seating maps, prices, and detailed directions on how to get to the SBC Center. Note: besides being the home of the Spurs the SBC also hosts a variety of other types of sports and entertainment such as concerts.

This store combines two of my biggest loves: cats and books, so how could I resist?! Nine Lives Books sells used books that are in good condition, and as you are looking for something to read, chances are that one of the store's 10 cats will walk up to you to meet and greet! They're all very friendly cats who will make sure you have a good time shopping at Nine Lives - it's probably one of the reasons why I ended going back home with 22 new books!!! Books, books, and more books. About the same as Half-Price books, so not a lot
Get the Guacamole for 2

They feature steaks and seafood. We enjoyed the coconut shrimp. It's fun to eat out by the river and people watch. The guacamole for 2 is good. The server prepares it fresh at your table. I also enjoyed the prickly pear margarita.

Be sure to visit the bakery even if you are eating in the cafe part of this restaurant to see all they have to offer.

The middle of town, not the middle of nowhere...

Any visit to San Antonio has to include a visit here. Most people are suprised by the location. They expect the Alamo to be in the middle of nowhere, I guess because of the movies. Actually it's located in the middle of downtown.......makes sense as the city grew up around the mission. Just remember, they don't allow photography inside the chapel. Also, keep your eyes peeled, as there are rumors of it being haunted. Check your pic's after you get home, many have captured a shadowy figure in the upper window of the front of the chapel, and no one is allowed up there.
