Camping as Usual

As usual we were traveling with our camper. We stayed in the Alamo KOA, which is located on 40 tree covered acres near Salado Creek. The trees and creek draw a number of varieties of birds to the campground. We chose this campground because it was near the city transit system’s bus route. This is a full service campground with e-mail access, fax service, copier, store, ice, swimming pool, hot tub, 50 AMP service, full hookups, and group tent sites. Besides the campground, cabins and cottages are also available for a higher price.

Unique Quality: This campground was near the Salado Creek and we enjoyed the Muscovy Ducks that came up daily looking for handouts. If you wish, the KOA hosts can arrange city sightseeing tours for you. Also, if you like to golf, there is an 18-hole course next door.
