Did you google around looking for San Antonio Trolleys? There are several companies who run tours and may offer a 'charter; bus. And there is this entry:
VIA Trolleys
(210) 227-2020
112 Soledad St
San Antonio, TX 78205.
Although there really are no authentic street cars in San Antonio. They are basically normal buses outfitted to resemble trolleys from the outside.
Travel Tips for San Antonio
History of the Alamo
by Jmill42
The Alamo had its beginnings as a Spanish mission. With the ever changing government and battle over Texas land, the Alamo's peaceful life was bound to come to an end. On March 6, 1836 the fighting began when the Mexican forces, lead by General Santa Anna, opened fire on the Alamo. They were fighting to keep part of Texas for Mexico. Davey Crockett and Co. were fighting for their independence from Mexico. When all the fighting was over, every single man, except for one slave was dead. The victorious army kept going until they captured more of the Texian forces. He executed 350 men after their capture. Less than a month later Santa Anna was captured giving Texas its independence. The Alamo itself was damaged in the battle, and was later restored in 1850 and then again in the 1930's and 1990's. Learning about the long history of the building and the importance it had in the independence of Texas.
The Southern River Walk
by Tom_Fields
Following the River Walk south, from the Hilton, past Arneson River Theatre, past the Bexar County Courthouse, one can see another less visited part of the River Walk.
Beyond the courthouse is a dam, which obstructs all boat traffic. Strolling along the river from there, one comes to King William. There are some fine views of the skyline. Take the walkway up from the river, and you can explore King William's Victorian-era neighborhoods.

A Unique Steakhouse
by VeronicaG about Texas Land and Cattle
It was early evening, we had been sightseeing all day and we were famished. As we pushed ourselves along the River Walk we asked a guide to recommend a good restaurant. He gave us directions to Texas Land and Cattle Steakhouse. We were so glad to have bumped into him!
The steakhouse was located along the River Walk, but was a little further away from the crowds. Because of this we had no waiting in line, but were conducted directly to our table. The dining room left no doubt in our minds that we were in Texas...I think it was the steer horns that convinced us!
I ordered Grilled Chicken with Shrimp ($14.99)with a baked potato and house salad acompanying the entree. It was tender and tasty! A Geyser Peak Pinot Grigio suggested by the bartender was good, too. Our experience at Texas Land and Cattle was wonderful and we would recommend it to anyone. The Grilled Chicken With Shrimp was full of flavor and cooked perfectly
The Alamo
by hoofhearted
C'mon, this is the Shrine of Texas Liberty! Every stop into San Antonio deserves a stop by this Texas icon. OK, I'm not "from" San Antonio, but I live here now and by transference am proud and awed every time I pass by this tourist stop. Most people are surprised by the relatively small size of the Alamo, but you really have to think back a few hundred years to when this was the only high-rise in San Antonio. When you set foot into the main building for the first time, there is a quiet calm and a sense of history that is unequal to any other historic site in San Antonio, or Texas for that matter. It's a cliche visit, but you gotta do it!
