Good but with warnings

We have stayed at this hotel twice for a total of 6 days on the top floor where you have the hot-tub and your own private patio looking down upon the Riverwalk, one bedroom, bath, kitchen on first floor of your suite and private bedroom/bath second floor. My stepdaughter is on a Time-share plan and gives this to us every year. I would not pay the $189 for this room but would try to book it on a discounted travel site. What I like about it is the convenience of being right on the Riverwalk, the kitchen stocked with appliances and cookware and the jetted tubs in both bathrooms. Also the sofa-bed if you have more guests.

What I don't like is that you have no room service, no housekeeping (the room is not cleaned or restocked until you check out) and you have to request more towels even if you are staying for 3 nights like we do and they act like they are doing you a favor about it. The washer/dryer is a joke because as the Front Desk Person stated, "it doesn't really dry because it uses a Steam to dry"... what the he** does that mean? Then why call it a dryer?? Your clothes and towels will NEVER dry. Also, the WORST is the parking. There is none. I recommend that you ABSOLUTELY buy their $8/day Parking Pass because the closest parking is the Houston St. Parking Garage and they are THIEVES. We had to pay $8 to get in and then they charged us another $8 to get out despite our objections. The Clerk was rude, the Supervisor was worse and they actually called Security on us for complaining. If there was anywhere else to park I would go there.

All in all I would recommend the hotel if and ONLY if you can get it for a discount. Landry's is right downstairs on the corner with a cozy lounge and live music.
