Confederate Powder Mill...

Confederate Powder Mill site.
This monument is located in Spring Creek Park near the crater left by the explosion of the gunpowder plant. The plant operated from 1861 till the explosion in 1863. The crater is full of water and looks like an ideal swimming hole but it is fenced-off and NOT safe for swimming.
