A wedding that should have been a movie
If you have never attended a true Southern Wedding go rent the movie "Steel Magnolias". My brother's wedding was like that right down to the family bickerings and wedding planning disasters.
We called it a "Jerry Springer" wedding. There were relatives that crawled out of the woodwork. There were prodigal children returning, detested ex-wives and ex-husbands, alcoholics in the beer and wine, cheap wine, drunks, gossiping, fashion disasters, horrified memebers of the family when the one gay person came with his date, a token black, and mosquitos. It won't ever leave my memory. This photo is my dad and I in Tuxedos. It was the first time he ever wore one.
