Best Western Village Inn

This motel is probably pretty typical of the ones you find throughout the US and Best Western is one of the larger chains. Quality can vary from place to place but this one is certainly acceptable. The rooms are fairly spacious and clean and are equipped with TV, refrigerator, coffee pot, iron and ironing board. One of the things I did like about this one is that the decor reflects the local culture. Being in Texas, it is not surprising to find a sofa and chair whose framework is horns from Texas longhorn cattle. Included in your rate is breakfast which consists of scrambled eggs, sausage, toast, waffles, juice, cereal and coffee. Not remarkable, but better than a lot I have seen. We did have a bit of a problem with our door lock and with keys, but found the staff pretty amenable to helping us. Not a bad place for a night's sleep at all. There is also a restaurant on the premises.
