Charlene and Gary, the owners, go out of their way to make their guests feel comfortable and welcome. Each room is charming and individually themed and kept immaculately clean. The inn is in a prime location, just a short walk to downtown and the Utah Shakespearean Festival and close to scenic locations such a Bryce National Park and Brian Head as well. Breakfast was delicious! I would definitely recommend this inn to anyone who asks.
This experience was GREAT! The innkeepers we extremely kind and personable. The food was wonderful, and the room was gorgeous! The room we stayed in was exceptionally clean as well, and our large batheroom was beautiful! If you are going to Cedar City for the Shakespearean Festival, this B & B is only a short walk away! I cannot imagine ever staying anywhere else!
During the 2008 Utah Shakespearean Festival, we stayed for two nights at Amid Summer's Inn B&B. The experience was absolutely wonderful. The owners, Charlene and Gary, were friendly, helpful and extremely knowledgeable about the Cedar City area (restaurants, activities, etc.). We appreciated their special effort to assure that our college-age daughters felt welcome in their B&B. The breakfasts each morning were fabulous -- both in presentation and taste. Our accomodations, the two-room Garden Suite, was perfect for our family of four. It's difficult to imagine a nicer place to stay!
I had a wonderful time at the Amid Summer's Inn B&B. The room was clean and beautifully furnished as was the house. The owners were very friendly and welcoming and were always ready to help you out and give you great tips on what to do and where to eat in and around the city. Breakfasts were excellent and delicious. I would highly recommend this place to anyone heading towards Cedar City!
We stayed at Amid Summer's Inn for four nights while attending the Utah Shakesperean Festival. Our room was tasteful and comfortable. Charlene went out of her way to make our stay the best it could be by suggesting restraunts and making reservations for us. She even requested who would serve us in order to ensure we enjoyed our meals. Charlene's cooking was fabulous. There were seven or eight food options every morning and it was always different. She uses great recipes and always caps breakfast off with fresh made smoothies! The Inn is so close to the festival that all was within walking distance which made our experience authentic. We will stay here every year while attending the festival!
A Mid Summer's Inn is a wonderful vacation getaway. There is a pleasant atmosphere, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the food is excellent! The owners, Gary and Charlene, are always going the extra mile to see that the guests are comfortable and their stay is enjoyable. A definate recommendation if your looking for a quiet place to relax and explore Cedar City.
This will be long but please read on. My wife and I have stayed at Amid Summer's Inn three different times during the Shakespeare Festivals in 2004, 2006, and 2008. What we have experienced is pampering, great breakfast meals, restaurant recommendations and even have had reservations made for us at local restaurants. Charlene and her husband Gary are not just superior Innkeepers but are dear friends. Breakfasts are served family style and not buffet style. Food is absolutely excellent and you cannot walk away from the breakfast table hungary.....It is not permitted. Cookies and candy is available all day and night as a built in bonus.
If you have been used to staying in motels, do yourself a favor and give Charlene a call. You will never stay in a motel again. Everything I have written is true and I have not been compensated for this review. This is truly an experience that will stay with you always.

If you are into comfort, great breakfasts, friendly people, and a relaxing atmosphere, this is the Inn for you. We are a bit biased as we have spent multiple stays here, but this Inn cannot be surpassed. Charlene and Gary bend over backwards making you feel at home. If you walk away from breakfast hungry, it's your fault. Don't be afraid to tell them about things you don't care for or cannot eat... they are quick and happy to accomodate. Breakfast is served family style, no buffet style here... so there is plenty of time for table conversations with other guests... no strangers here. A true "Home Away from Home" !!
My husband and I have stayed at Amid Summer's Inn three different times during the Shakespeare Festivals in 2006 ,2007 and 2008. What we have experienced is pampering, great breakfast meals, restaurant recommendations , local restaurants just two house away, was great.. Charlene and her husband Gary are not just out standing, My husband said he would never stay any were else.
