Hovenweep Campground: Camp with the Ancients

There is a small campground at Hovenweep National Monument...near the visitor's center. It is a year-round first-come, first-serve campground. Sites are primarily tent sites, but some can accomodate RVs up to 36 ft long.

The campground sits along the cliffline where the Square Tower Group of ruins sits, and has a special trail for access to the ruins from the camping area.

Cost is $10 per night and flush toilets and running water are available.

There is no other campground in this area. The next closest is the McPhee Campground in Dolores (where we stayed last year).
