Good location, but like a sardine

This is the only campground in the heart of Moab. As such it has some benefits. It is easy walking to the visitors center, shopping and restaurants. It also has a pool, showers, a small shop and a creek.
However most of the campground is devoted to getting as many RVs in as small a space as possible. It was not a friendly place.
We lucked out. We had a tent, and while there are some tent spots along the creek we were put in the overflow area across the creek. It was quiet and restful and we had a great time.
They also have some small stand alone cabins.

Canyonlands Campground. ...

Canyonlands Campground. Photo: This skunk became a daily visitor during the summer of '99. It would come up from Moab Creek to join the owners' cats at mealtimes. :)

Unique Quality: Convenient location within walking distance to restaurants, shops, and entertainment at night. The restrooms and showers were newly built in '98.
