Great place to stay!
This is a small motel on the south side of Moab. We plucked this one out of the air when planning our trip. It was the best value accomodation we found on opodo.co.uk.
The receptionist was friendly and processed our check in very quickly. She gave us a twin queen bedded room with a pull out sofa bed, which meant we didn't have to worry about the rollaway bed that we would have needed. the room itself was spacious and very comfortable. Shower was very welcome.
Didn't make use of any of the facilities because it was just a one night stay. Although there were laundry facilities on site, we didn't use them. There was also an outdoor pool available. Fridges in the rooms would also be useful for longer stays, especially in the summer
I would definitely stay here again if exploring the National Parks of Canyonlands and Arches.
Unique Quality: Great waffles that you do yourself at breakfast. Just pur in your pre measured waffle mix and wait 2 minutes, then add your syrup or jam - tasty!

Dancing on the Ceiling
"OK, but could have been better" would by my tag line for this place. Moab is a place where there's not a lot of high quality accommodation as everyone wants to be outside in the Great Outdoors and this place would be perfect for that. Two words of caution:
1. The room wasn't as clean as it should have been - including nail clippings by the bedside.
2. Ask for a room on the top floor. The walls are very thin and we were kept awake/woken up by guests above who found 101 things to do between the hours of 3am and 6am every morning. No talking or TV sounds, just endless pacing. Despite addressing this with the front desk, who assured us the guests were leaving on our first morning, they remained and did not change their ways, despite asking that they be spoken too.
Breakfast was fine, if a little basic, although making your own waffles was fun. In short, for the area the hotel was average; if I'd been staying in a bigger place, I would have been very disappointed.
Stayed here in September this year for 3 nights whilst exploring Arches and Canyonlands. We found it to be excellent in terms of value. Large clean room and a good location. Breakfast was included which although was not fantastic was fine for setting you up for the day ahead. Pool was a bit small and generally in the shade when we wanted to go early evening but thats not why we went to Moab!
Overall excellent value for money and I would highly recommend.
The owners wife has taste!
Visisted in November when the rates were discounted and got the spa suite for a wonderful discount! I travel quite a bit and have never seen a suite of this quality in a chain. I was told the owners wife decorated it. The furninshings were more like a hip bed and breakfast and the leather couches were so comfortable. The two person tub had a seperate room all by itself with an addition sink and vanity, huge!
The bed was the kind you had to climb into and the living room was just so beautiful. After that we drove to Vegas and stayed in the Penthouse suite there..... I still dont know which one I like better. What an amazing find!
Good Hotel, Good Location, Free Cont. Breakfast
We always stay at this hotel when we meet up with friends in Moab. It's one of the first Hotels that will be on the left side of the highway, if you are coming into Moab from the Salt Lake City area.
The rooms are adequate and clean, prices are fair.
There is a decent selection of food at the Continental Breakfast.
I have yet to use any of the amenities, since our stay is usually only one night, and we get there pretty late and leave early the next morning. The rest of our stay is in tents during our 4 Wheel Drive trips.
Also...The hotel has always been accomodating to us regarding our trailers and 4X4 vehicles.
La Quinta a good base in Moab
La Quinta was a quiet and pleasant place to stay for 5 nights while we looked around at Arches and Canyonland. We didn't use the continental breakfast because the cooked breakfast at the diner in town was so cheap and good, we'd rather be waited on and eat a real meal.
We drove from Moab to Las Vegas on the last day quite easily and flew home to Newark on an early flight the next morning.
We would not stay here again. There are undoubtedly worse hotels in Moab, but there have GOT to be better ones.
We "upgraded" to a two-bedroom suite. Enjoyed the extra room but originally was convinced there was a troupe of dancing elephants in the suite upstairs. Eventually decided that it was just a normal sized human family, but a very cheaply built hotel. We could hear their every move.
Free breakfast was EXTREMELY limited. One morning they ran out of two types of cereal and only had corn flakes. No pastries offered, never had any yoghurt. Every day: just cold cereal, bread to toast and make-your-own waffles. We soon gave up and drove downtown for breakfast.
We loved this place
We just returned from a 2 night stay while visiting Moab. We chose LaQuinta because they allow pets and we have had good success with LaQuinta's in the past. I think this was the nicest one we have stayed in. Lovely lobby and breakfast room, very comfortable guest room and all was very clean. The woman who handles the breakfast did a remarkable job of keeping everything filled up even with a large tour group both mornings we were there. They have a nice area to walk your dogs, and a nice walking trail behind the hotel. The pool and hot tub were very clean. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.
We had a pleasant stay!
We had a pleasant 2 nights stay here. The hotel is very clean. Though the hotel is not in the middle of downtown it is an easy walk. Moab is a great place to stay on vacation in this region and seems quite different from the usual Utah settlements. The hotel saw a lot of activity with some hikers convention when we were there but the hotel room was quiet and though busy there was space in the breakfast room each day. I can't think of anything negative about this place.
