Good Spot in Moab
The Sleep Inn is towards the end of the main drag in Moab. It's a clean place and has a decent small breakfast offering in the mornings which was good for pre bike meals. It also has a nice but small outdoor pool area and an indoor hot tub next to it that were great for the post biking recovery. The Sleep Inn is close enough to most of the major bike rides and attractions as well as places to eat. All in all it was a good place to stay and I'd certainly stay there again.

nightmare general manager
Hello,
I am doing this as a warning to others about the management of this hotel, (motel ).
We were staying here for the 2nd time on our return trip from vegas with my mother who has non-treatable leukemia. The front desk lady told me that she was appreciative of our reason for the trip, and our return business, so she quoted me a price reduction on our 2nd room ( we booked 2 rooms each way) of only $25.00. The next day upon checkout, the front desk said they couldnot authorize this and I had to call the general manager later. We left for Fort Morgan, CO., and I had to call 3 times before the general manager, ( tim erickson ) took my call. He ended up telling me that Arlane was relatively new and could not give such an offer. He then proceeded to tell me that I was a manipulative liar and that I had tried to coerce his employee after which he promptly hing up on me. This while we were driving to Denver to find my mother a hospital, ( and her hospice caretakers ) where she could have an emergency blood transfusion. To say that Tim Erickson's customer relations were lacking is an understatement. I was dumbfounded that someone could get into such a position with such poor customer relations skills. The whole experience left me with an absolutely sickening feeling in my stomach that I still have when thinking about it to this day. I would strongly recommend that anyone planning a trip there , ( Arches national Park is amazingly beautiful) avoid this place like the plague, or at the least, make sure who the g.m. is before booking.
I hope this keeps anyone else from ever having the negative experience I had there. Wishing everyone the best possible trip/vacation experience they may have, Dustin Rhodes

OK but lots of room for improvement
This being our first time to Moab I did a lot of research before booking a hotel. Based on reviews here I narrowed it down to this, the La Quinta or the Hampton Inn. The other two were fully booked so the Sleep Inn it was. If you think of this as a 2-star motel you will not be disappointed but for over $150/night I expected more. Our family usually stays in Sheraton/Marriott properties but all hotels in Moab are pretty much of the motel variety so this was probably comparable to most others. We stayed for three nights and here are my pros and cons.
Pros:
- it was very clean
- good location on the main street
- nice almost empty pool
- flat screen TV with lots of channels
Cons:
- biggest con was the A/C unit which was a wall unit that made so much noise when it was on it sounded like a small jet plane landing in our room. During the night we woke up each time the unit turned on which was about every 30 min. The last night we just turned the A/C off because it was better to sleep in the heat than listen to the noise. They really need to do something about those as we were told all rooms have the same A/C unit
- old hard beds covered with thin flowery coverlets (I would not call them duvets)
- rooms are small and dark
- no closet space really - one railing with hangers and one shelf above it with no door, drawers, etc
- hot tub is for some reason located in a tiny windowless room adjacent to the pool. why would someone want to be in there instead of having it next to the pool outside is puzzling to me
- breakfast consisted of powdered eggs and yogurt and some fruit. we ended up eating outside the hotel in order to get nutrcious normal food.
- Internet was very spotty. It was OK to check email once a day but when we tried to Skype my parents the connection was impossibly slow so we gave up
All in all, since we did not go there to stay in our room, we had a decent stay and loved Moab and the Arches. But I would not stay in this hotel again.
