Beautiful City
Ogden is a beautiful city. One thing I think of when I visit there is how clean and orderly everything seems. And the people are very friendly and helpful.
"Marriott Ogden"
This is the second time I've stayed at the Marriott. The first time was a disaster, but this time was quite pleasant. While the rooms are nice, they are in need of a renovation. The rooms are big, but the bathrooms are quite small. The food in the dining room is good, especially the breakfast buffet with omelets and fried eggs made-to-order. The pool and whirlpool are indoors and very nice. There is a gym, but I've never used it. This time the staff was very friendly and helpful.
"Ogden Union Station"
There is lot to do in the area, but Ogden Union Station offers several museums in one place, plus an excellent restaurant...considered one of the best in the area. The museums include a natural history exhibit, a railroad museum with more displays of historic locomotives and cars outside, the Browning gun and rifle museum, and a collection of about ten beautifully restored cars. You can see it all for one price...$5 (2007). There is a gift shop in the lobby of the beautifully resorted Spanish Revival station. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner and has a good seletion of items well prepared.
