Moving To Park City

by formida42

I'll be moving to Park City from Tennessee in November. Is there anything I should know?

Yes, bring your wallet. Seriously it is very expensive to live here. The standards have been driven up by the recent Olympics and also the Sundance Film Festival. Houses are soooooooooooo expensive. Are you buying??? What brings you to move to Park City?? Have you thought about Heber, near by. Much more livable and still has access to the best skiing, etc.

My friend live on Aire Drive in Park City....it is a 2 million dollar or more home.....and that is the price of most of the homes in that area. Deer Valley is 4 to 8 million each.

Best wishes.

I have a 3 br Condo there I was selling but I had a change of heart. It is located at Kimball Junction with immediate access to highway 80 and several shopping choices. It is still afordable and only 5 minutes from the Canyons Ski Resort. Maybe you want to rent or buy something like this there. I don't know what your budget is. If you need addtional info, please contact me.

Hand-dipped chocolates to satisfy your sweet tooth

by VdV about Village Candy Shoppe

I've recently had the pleasure of eating very fine handmade chocolates in Los Angeles, so when I was walking up and down Main St., I was trying to figure out which of the 3-4 candy stores might be the best ones in terms of handmade chocolates or fudge. I decided to skip the Rocky Mountain Candy Co., since it is a chain.

I came across the Village Candy Shoppe, with a sign in its window:"Hand-dipped Chocolates."

I decided to check it out. I purchased about a half dozen chocolates, mostly buttercreams of assorted flavors--raspberry, mocha, cherry cordials and a caramel/marshmallow one. I also bought a small piece of amaretto/chocolate fudge to share with my family back home.

The chocolates were pretty good, basically on the same quality and taste as See's, Fanny Mae and Helen Grace. The fudge was the best, and my nephews really liked it.

Worth a stop in here to satisfy your sweet tooth. Village Candy Shoppe also ships to anywhere in the U.S.
