My Room Rocked

Sadly, my fiance was not able to accompany me recently to a family wedding in Park City. I decided to go pretty late in the game so the only room (as part of the wedding room block) available was a huge suite. The room had 3 tvs (one plasma), two fireplaces (one gas, one fire), a kitchen and two bathrooms. Oh, and it had a balcony that contained a grill and a hot tub for 10.

Unique Quality: Loved the amenities- Molton Brown hair products, etc.

Glitretind in Stein Eriksen Lodge
The view is spectacular! The chef created a special plate of steamed vegetables for me that was almost too pretty to eat - but I did and enjoyed it immensely! Save room for dessert - next time that is all I am going to eat - one of every kind!

"A New Year's Visit"

While my uncle lives here now full-time (he actually ran for mayor), my now ex-boyfriend decided to decend of the city for a little New Years festivities and ski trip. We lasted one night in a hotel and then stayed at my uncles for the rest of the trip. He lent us his car so we could venture into town for nice dinners. Days were filled with skiing- mostly at Deer Valley. New Years was catered at my uncles house.

"Howie and Barbara's Wedding"

My entire family recently visited Park City and Deer Valley for my uncle's wedding. We stayed at the Stein Erikson Lodge in Deer Valley. There had their ceremony/reception at the Empire Lodge. It was so high up that there was still snow on the ground in June. Unfortunately I did not adjust well to the altitude and got sick during the wedding (it gives you extreme nausea and difficulty breathing).

Romantic restaurants in Park City?

by markbtn

Taking my wife to PC on a surprise ski trip for our 20th anniversary. Any ideas for a romantic resturant in PC? She worries about the ambiance more than the food! Any and all suggestions welcomed.

Yes, there are romantic restaurants in Park City. Here are my favorites:

Chenez (very romantic)
Glitretin at Stein Erickson Lodge in Deer Valley (very romantic)
Zoom (nice atmosphere, trendier, owned by Robert Redford
Chimayo (very creative soutwest cuisine, nice atmosphere
Claim Jumper (institution at Park City, been there forever, steaks, dark wood, dark decor, more casual than the other ones I mentioned)

Here's a link that will lead you to more descriptions.

What a wonderful trip! Have fun at my most favorite ski resort and town!
