under construction! April 2013
I reserved two nights but only stayed one. The lobby is under construction with tarps draped everywhere to keep the rain out. When I checked in at 10pm there was also 6 inches of standing water just past the elevators - the water was gone by morning, but I chose another hotel for my second night in town. The staff was very accommodating and trying to make the best of a bad situation, but my opinion is that they should have closed during the construction.
Convenient location, good value
Stayed here for a conference at Salt Palace, a few blocks - 15-20 minute walk away. Clean, comfortable rooms. Was upgraded to a suite due to the length of my stay, enjoyed the living room with microwave, refrigerator, and coffee pot. Good maid service.
Front desk staff recommended good local restaurants and other services in the area. The pool, whirlpool, and exercise room were convenient and open around the clock. It would be nice if parents didn't use the business center to keep their kids occupied playing PC games.
Breakfast buffet was varied, fresh, and well-stocked. Dining area was comfortable and well kept.
Parking available on all sides of the hotel, there is a Wendy's next door, Denny's around the corner, and a Mexican restaurant on the next block. Pioneer Park diagonally across the intersection has a few street people - so be aware.
