I'll be in Park City over New Year's Eve and was wondering where would be the best place to spend it (dancing, champain, etc)? Someone recommended Cicero's, do you know if they have anything special for NYE? Any suggestions would be extremely helpful as I have never been to Utah before.

We'll be there, too.
Been there twice now - but it's very hard to find anything 'special' for NYE. The Canyon's has a cute outdoor party and fireworks. Same with Deer Valley. I've been at the restaurants for sit down meals, but never found any exciting 'parties' to go to (all inclusive - special event type). I've contacted a number of places today - so if anything (anyone) comes back with info - I'll let you know here.

Excellent view of the city from the capitol!! It´s at the top of a hill.
The building it´s nice and it´s possible to visit it. On workdays you can see the activity, politicians going around.
Hours: 9 - 8 in summer
8 - 6 the rest of the year

Well, don't plan on drinking! This place is the 'dry-man's' heaven. They do sell beer. But, oh yea, the beer has about the alcohol content of the worst wine cooler. The beer here is specially made for this region, LOW alcohol content.
Also if you are ski/boarding buy your lifts at the local stores. MUCH cheaper than at each resort.
Antelope Island is the largest island in the Great Salt Lake. For many years it was a ranch, before the State bought it out. There are primitive campgrounds, hikes, a visitors center, a beach, bird watching, buffalo roundups, and wagon rides at the old ranch home. It is the best place to try out floating in the salty waters of the lake, but be prepared for a long walk to water that is deep enough and being covered with salt and brine shrimp (the only thing that lives in the water) after you're done. There are showers available at the beach.
This is a cool place to eat. You sit down on your own and look through the menu. Once you decide, you pick up the phone and order. Once ready they call your table and you go pick it up. Holy Cow the Cheese Fries ROCK
I remember the decor being so awesome, because it was right up my alley..lol! I loved it very much. It was very inviting and confortable. The waitresses were so wonderful and friendly. The food and drinks were great! I do not think you will disappointed in this place at all. You have a huge selection of Steak Dinners and I do not remember specially which one, but all I know is that I enjoyed it alot and it was priced so reasonable too:-)
