$100 or maybe a little more? Probably more. Anyway, it still is a pretty good deal for what you get here. Ask for specials too.. we did and ended up getting some sort of Tower Special... so, high room and a nice little gift bag when we got into the room.
Unique Quality: This is a 4-star hotel, and I agree with the ratings! This place is pretty luxurious and really not so expensive considering the accomodations. Rooms are big and beds are comfortable, with plenty of pillows. Lobby has a couple shops and eateries. And of course, there's the usual pool, sauna, etc. Anyway, I'd highly reccommend it... and it's within walking distance (for me anyway) of the Temple.
We stayed at the Little America before our last visit. Previously we stayed in the garden rooms on the ground floor. We wanted to try the tower rooms in the main hotel. Wow!, this place is gorgeous. Our room had 2 queen size beds, a love seat 2chairs and a table with chairs. The TV is in a big cabinet that has the standard channels for a hotel as well as internet access and PPV movies. The bathroom has a seperate place with 2 sinks and then a door that seperates the shower area. This room was huge. The beds were very comfortable and was diificult to wake up in the morning. We had a balcony that had a beautiful view of the city to the south and the mountains to the east. We would definitely stay there again.
Unique Quality: The one thing that stood out in this hotel was the service. They were so courteous and friendly, always asking if we needed assistance, even drawing out maps to assist us in finding our way. We really appreciated being treated so special. The restaurant cafe is also fantastic with great service from the servers. The steak house near the cafe was very expensive, although the food was delicious, it may be a splurge for those on a budget.

Little America Hotel & Towers Little America is your gateway to downtown Salt Lake City, just minutes from the city's main business district and various cultural and sports centers.
The Little America Hotel, is a converted older motel type property with a central high rise building (tower), across the street from the Grand America Hotel.
Everything worked like clock work. From car parking to check in front desk and bellman were excellent. I had the room furtherest from the tower and it is only a couple of minutes walk. Rooms are, for the price point, done in an exquisite manner. Minor issue...no coffee pot in room, but card on desk gives number to have one delivered. Arrives in five minutes or less.
Breakfast in the coffee shop was great. Huge portions, very reasonably priced. One of the best stocked snack/news stands on the circut.
Rooms were very quiet. A great find!!!
we booked a room in a motel room hoping that even the motel room would be nice for such a hotel. wow were we wrong. first of all, the motel rooms are extremely extremely small. you can hardly walk around the beds. the bathrooms are even worse and cramped. the decor is depressing. Quite frankly, the room was ugly. also, while walking on the corridors, some drunks threw up all over the floor and wasnt cleaned. This place is honestly disgusting. The pool was ok, but i would have gladly spent a little more money to stay in the grand america hotel across the street. They know service. Apparently, the little america does not. I am very disappointed in Little America Hotel and would not recommend it by any means. stay at the grand- at least you will enjoy yourself.
My wife and I spent one night at the Little America hotel. We booked it mainly for the price, which was $105 a night. We booked a room with a king-sized bed in the tower. I was pretty impressed. The room was on the 14th floor and was very large, with a king bed, dresser, TV, a table, desk and a seating area. The bathroom had a separate dressing area with a vanity and a large large closet. The toilet, tub, and another vanity were in a separate area. The room was clean and very pleasant. The only drawbacks with the room were that the TV was an older "console" style, so it was hard to watch TV while lying on the bed, and the toilet, sinks, and shower head were very low. I am 6 feet tall and the counter on the vanity was well below my waist.
We only stayed one night and ate dinner in the coffee shop. The food was fine and the service was very good. Overall, I was impressed with the value and would recommend this hotel.
We just stayed at this property last weekend for the NCAA basketball games and would easily stay there again. Although we had one of the smaller courtside rooms, the room was fine. Housekeeping was excellent and the room was very clean. The room had a large t.v. and dvd player. The pillows were a little flimsy, but housekeeping brought more when asked.
It is true that those not staying in the tower rooms have to walk outside to get to the other rooms, but it wasn't that big of a deal to us. If that is an issue, stay elsewhere or in a tower room.
There is a parking lot in front of the courtside rooms, so we asked for a second floor room to avoid a little of the noise and headlights shining into the room. Some of the Garden rooms also backed to busy streets, so I would avoid those rooms if possible.
We ate four meals in the cafe restaurant and were very pleased. The service was a little slow, but the portions were huge! Full dinners with soup or salad, roll, veggies, potato, beverage, and ice cream for $11.00-$15.00.
While there is normally a charge at the business center, they let me print our airline bording passes for free.
The hotel is adjacent to a Trax station, so we took the train to Temple Square and the University of Utah with little trouble.
Overall, a very nice hotel with a very good staff.
We stayed at the Little America in 04/06; we had a late arriving flight and were happy to find upon arrival at the hotel, that all was prepared for us, so no issues with the late check in. We frequented the breakfast buffet in the Little America Steak House each morning after one visit to the Coffee Shop Restaurant, the Steak House breakfast was far better. We didn’t have any other meals there so nothing to report. The room was clean and housekeeping staff were great, we had a tower room with a small balcony facing south down the valley which provided nice morning views of the 20 square mile strip mall they call 'Salt Lake City’. The bathroom fixtures were very short if your over 5'8" you are taller than the shower head. The toilet was really short, far lower then average height fixture. Water pressure was fine and all other aspects of bathroom were fine, dated... but all clean and functioning. The carpets and furniture have seen better days, its def time for an upgrade, but were clean, well kept and functioning, and beds were very comfortable. Easily located coming from the airport and nice central downtown location.
We were satisfied with this hotel and would use it again if we had to visit this 'city' again..
With two nights to stay in SLC (one on the first night of our trip and one on the last) we had booked Marriott Downtown for the first night but because the rates were twice higher for our last night there, based upon the Little America's reviews we booked it for our last night in SLC.
We were really disappointed! Perhaps those that reviewed didn't stay at the courtyard rooms. I can only say that the room was VERY small, with old furniture which looked very cozy at first, but beds proved to be far from comfortable during the night. Half of our towels had dirty stains on them and in addition, there was an extra charge for the third person in the room.
We wouldn't stay here again.
I was not sure about what to expect in this city -- my experience was the visiting missionaries at home and that does not go down well at home - - felt a little like Daniel entering the lion's den.
Stayed at the Little America Hotel adn the name is the only thing that states little -- everything else here is big!!!. - - Rooms were great and the majority of the delegates for the conference were staying there - - bookings made through the conference organisers. (good price) Accrsoo the rod was the gran American and this was huge and even looked expensive - - a littl out of our range>
Dave advises me that the conference was good - - I spent the time when he was at the conference shopping and bought some fabulous things -- one being a pencil and charcoal painting of a native american subjuect. Really good -- only black and white but what do you expect for blag and white.
their new library was fantastic and well worth a visit, -- unlike anything I have ever or probably will ever see here.
There are a number of homeless people and there were still the beggars and this disturbed me.
I visited the Morman centre and looked around and this was amazing - - everything is so big (of course I could not go int the temple (restricted to high members of the Church of Latter Day Saints)
We also went to a rehersal of the Morman tabernackle Choir - - the precision demanded of the participants shows in the performance -- this was an education in itself.
Down side on the city was that everything seems to close at 1800 and it is difficult to get anything to eat even - - we did finally so all was OK.
the scenery aroud the city is beautiful and I think that if ever we went back I would be looking at doing lots of trips into the surrounding area not just the city itself.
Both the Mormon Conference Centre and the other Conference centre were huge - - we could never have this many delegates at a conference in Adeliade -- no one venue could cope with them
