Shilo Inn Downtown Salt Lake City

This was the contract hotel for when I came here on work business for many years. I've stayed several times, and it was always a pleasant experience.

The location of this hotel is perfect, it's right downtown!

Convenient

I picked this hotel because it was one of the ones on the list that would provide us transportation to the OTI (OSHA Technical Institute), had a pool and free breakfast, and was within walking distance of the LDS library.

I paid the government rate which was $80/night

ROOM AMENITIES
Cable/satellite TV
Refrigerator
Coffee/tea maker
Iron/ironing board
Voice mail
Complimentary newspaper
Non-smoking rooms

They also had:
Krewson's Sunrise Café & Sunset Bar - I think I managed to eat here once. Most of the time I got back to the hotel after they were closed.

PROPERTY AMENITIES
Handy to shops, restaurants, and theaters, the 12-story Shilo Inn Downtown Salt Lake City is just 2 blocks from the 10-acre Temple Square and a block from a TRAX light rail stop that accesses sites such as the University of Utah. A ski shuttle picks up guests outside the front door for seven of Utah’s legendary ski areas located less than an hour away. An external glass elevator offers views of the city and the Wasatch Range and whisks guests from the hotel’s attractive cream and black lobby to the upper levels.

The photo is taken from the external elevator. The inset is the hotel at night from their website. It is really lit up like that, but I wasn't able to get a photo of it.
