short visit on a Sunday

Hi
As part of a road trip possible stop is SLC enroute to Yellowstone from Moab.
Would arrive saturday evening and leave Sunday afternoon, is this worth it and are things open on a Sunday morning ?

One Sunday activity you might consider is the Mormon Tabernacle Choir's weekly broadcast, "Music and the Spoken Word". Visitors are always welcome to sit in at no charge. Because it is being broadcast you must be in your seat by 9:15 and must stay for the entire 1/2 hr event. At the moment it is being performed in the Conferance Center. When the Tabernacle is finished being renovated they will move back there. There may be times they aren't there (they are on tour perhaps), but it isn't often. To hear the choir in person is always a great treat.

just walk around Temple Square. There is something about Salt Lake that is very special. It is a sprawled city with a 'town' feel. The people are friendly and there is a sense of innocence about the place. And then the awesome nature! Visiting old friends. It is as if time stands still there (and I don't see that as negative). My friends seem to have a different goal in life than just making money and fullfilling their career path. They are just intensely happy with simple things. It's a joy to see and a great lesson to learn.

There are many lovely sights to enjoy! Salt Lake City or LSD Square has some of the most lovely fountains to enjoy. Take the time to wonder around and take in the sights. I think you will enjoy them very much!

Sunday brunch! This is the time when most of Salt Lake comes to enjoy the great food and, during the warm season, the beautiful patio dining, so come early. There is nothing quite like enjoying your Sunday morning coffee outside in with a canyon all around. Plus it doesn’t make your wallet hurt. The entire menu is wonderful. I often go there for breakfast however they serve a tasty dinner too.

Not sure why this is called the Village Inn because there is no hotel/motel attached to it. We were just happy to stumble upon something open on New Year's day that served breakfast. Nothing special.
