Lovely place to stay
by A TripAdvisor Member
We had no problems at all at the Canyon ranch. We arrived early (even earlier than expected due to the time difference!) and were able to check in at about 10am. The owners were friendly and helpful. The room was fine; it was nice to be able to look out onto the grassy area, and the picnic tables outside would have been great if it wasn't raining when we wanted to eat dinner. Would stay there again.
Nice place for relaxation

We have recently returned from our second visit to this wonderful place. Our first visit was during Memorial weekend of 2005. We have had a fabulous time on both occations, but I have read some disturbing posts here. We were there during the time that certain posts were also there and let me first say that just because you are renting a place for the weekend, that does not give you the right to treat it however you want. We observed these "guests" not only doing nasty things, but in my opinion (based on 20 years of law enforcement) criminal damage to their rooms and the grounds. I am surprised that these "guests" were not taken to court, as they claim it was worse than and the only "military" thing that they should have seen, was the inside of the stockade. But enough of the responding to the false posts on Canyon Ranch. It is a nice and quiet place to visit when you want to see Zion Park. They have a bus stop just outside their property, which means you can park your car by your cabin and never use it until it is time to leave. The stores and restaurants in Springdale are all within walking distance. The cabins are nice and comfortable. The views are really nice and the managers are very helpful and friendly.
Clean, quiet, nice view and reasonably priced.

Last week we spent 4 nights at the Canyon Ranch Motel. The rooms and spacious grounds were well cared for and while inside our room we did not hear any noise from other guests or traffic. We did not use the pool but we did take a look and found it to be well maintained and uncrowded. Although we only had one brief opportunity to talk to the owner, we found him to be be friendly and helpful. We had a queen room for $89, lower than the other places we had checked, and the room's huge windows provided a great view of Springdale's magnificent scenery. We would not hesitate to stay here again.
What a great place!

This was simply a great place. Beautiful grounds with a 360 beautiful view of the area just outside the park. Kitchenette was very adequate for our needs. Room, bathroom and kitchenette were all very clean. grounds are very well kept. The pool and hot tub opened at noon to10PM and both were clean and very refreshing in the 105 degree heat of the day or the cool 85 degree evening. The place is ideal for staying near Zion which is only 3 tenths of a mile from Park entrance and only a 2 hour drive from fabulous Bryce Canyon.
A Free Shuttle Bus stops directly in front of the motel every 6 minutes during mid-morning to early eve and every 10 to 15 minutes at other times. It was very convenient to get to all area restaurants, park and stores for all provisions.
Price was great at $89 per night. I would stay at Canyon Ranch again with hesitation.
Fantastic avalue mote in stunning surroundings

On a touring holiday we found Canyon Ranch and were surprised to find two very good rooms available in the high season. Very good value and very clean facilities. We had the use of the pool and picnics in the grounds. The scenery was stunning and we would recommend this motel. The owners were very friendly and offered advice for the best restaurants, cafes and horse riding with free weather reports thrown in. The shuttle bus to Zion Park runs from the gate so very convenient for walks and days in the aprk. We would love to go back and stay again. 5 Star accomodation. Please don't tell everyone otherwise it will be difficult to book...
Very clean and quiet!

We tend to stay at chain hotels, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. My fears were unwarranted. The Canyon Ranch Motel was very clean and quiet. A great place to sleep after a long day of travel. We were able to park right next to our room. The innkeepers were very friendly and offered suggestions on which trails to hike at Zion NP. I would definitely stay there again.
Ice Costs Lots Of Money
by TripAdvisor Member Travelers313
We Stayed at the Canyon Ranch for three nights and never got one ounce of politness from the help. The help there is extremely rude, we were yelled at for anything and everything including getting ice minutes after we checked out. We thought we could check out before going on a day long hike, then realized that we needed ice in our camelbacks and when walking from the front desk to the ice machine the manager yelled that we weren't allowed. We explained that we were just checked in and she screamed no and said that we were trespassing and needed to leave the premises. We were heart broken because we loved the pool and the view but we will never stay there again. Anything, including a budget inn is better than being harrassed for every move you make. At least at budget you might be able to feel that you are on vacation.
Just fantastic

This was a beautiful, pleasant and relaxing accommodation. All of the staff members were genuinely friendly, helpful and very competent. The location was ideal with a Zion shuttle stop on site, walking distance to the village center (1 block), but far enough out of it to keep the tranquil peace. Lovely grounds with lush lawns, picnic tables, flowers and a well-maintained pool/jacuzzi. Rooms were on the small side, but completely adequate and exceptionally clean... an excellent deal for the price. Beds were SO comfortable, as were the pillows. Shower had excellent temperature and pressure. Two windows provided nice, fresh air. Rooms on the South side of the property may experience some "farm smells" from an adjacent Elk farm, but it is hardly noticeable. Parking was well-planned, next to the buildings instead of in front, so the property looks cleaner and you won't have a view of a parking lot. This motel is better for adults, probably too tranquil for children. We spent 5 days here, and loved every minute. We also had a chance to look at other hotels in Springdale, and I will definitely choose this one again. We plan on going back next year. Just fantastic!
Wonderful Oasis In Springdale
by TripAdvisor Member galaxrex
My wife, son and I stayed at the Canyon Ranch Motel on June 8-10 while touring Zion National Park and doing the Grand Circle tour of Utah Parks. Canyon Ranch was our favorite lodging during our entire 10 day trip.
The motel is really a series of duplex rooms in a parklike setting. We found the staff very welcoming and helpful. Our room was spacious and VERY clean. the room had a small refrigerator and a microwave. The air conditioner was a bit underpowered for the heat and it took a while to get the room cool and to stay cool at first, but this was not a major problem once the room cooled and the AC was running during the day. After a hard day of hiking in Zion the hot tub and pool were very welcome.
Canyon Ranch is right across the street from the Park shuttle bus stop and is within reasonable walking distance to most of the restaurants in Springdale.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Canyon Ranch. We would recommend it to anyone and will definitely stay there again when we return to the area.
Our whole family loved this place
by TripAdvisor Member MaryGinny
Our family stayed at the Canyon Ranch for three nights, July 6-9, on our way to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. My husband and I had stayed there eleven years ago and had fond memories of the lovely setting. I was concerned after reading some of the reviews but took a chance and booked three rooms.
It was just as nice or even nicer than I remembered. The rooms were spotless and up to date with internet access, a small refrigerator, comfortable beds and lots of space. Our grandchildren enjoyed the pool and playing in the grassy middle area containing old fashioned swings, \ picnic tables and a spectacular view. Our family didn't even want to leave even though we had the Grand Canyon to look forward to.
