I recommend The lodge at Red river ranch.
We read about this place in a guidebook so we decided to try it out even if it was a bit expensive.
We had some problems finding it since our GPS didn´t find the stated adress in our guidebook but when we asked a local about The Lodge it wasn´t hard to find.
the first thing that strikes you driving in to the lodge is the fantastic location. you got buffalos on one side, cows on the other and all this to a beautiful backdrop of red mountains. The lodge itself is taken straight from a cowboy movie, well atleast it feels like it for us europeans :)
We instantly fell in love with this place and the girl at the counter made us feel really welcome. The wooden beams across the roofs and the creaky floors really gives one the feeling of an old house. It´s just a lovely feeling walking along the corridor.
As always in my reviews the staff were nice and friendly :)
The scenery around the lodge is breathtaking and is very well worth the cost.
Two Thumbs up
- Location. Enjoy your scenery and silence sitting on your private patio.
- Hot tub. Nothing beats sitting in the hottub watching the stars.
- Staff is friendly and made us feel like home.
- The rooms and the creaky wooden floors makes for an excellent atmosphere.
Two thumbs down
- Location. Why on Earth do I live so far from Utah???
The Lodge has a gaming room with some DVDs, pingpong table and fuusball.
The Wifi worked good. The hottub is just lovely. Be sure to enjoy the hottub under the starry night.
Breakfast is not included, but there is a onsite restaurant where breakfast is served. The quality of the breakfast is excellent. The restaurant also serves dinner, but only on friday nights (if I remember correctly). However Teasdale is just a five minute drive away and there you can find more than enough eating places.
