I used to drive through Bennington all the time on Route 9 heading from NH to NY. I had neer stopped other than to fill the gas tank, but I finally met some family there for a few hours one day (it was a good halfway point for us to meet). It's a really nice small city. It's got some great places to see and things to do, especially off the main route. I really enjoy going there.
