Courtyard By Marriott Burlington Harbor: New Waterfront Hotel

This is a new hotel in Burlington--the first in 30 years, according to published reports. It's an upscale "boutique" type hotel designed around business travelers. Kind of like the smaller but nicer hotels you find in Paris or Swiss cities. Great thing: it's just about on the lake shore, so views of Lake Champlain and NY state mountains spectacular. Rooms pretty posh for a state like Vermont. Great buffet breakfast, Vermont style food for sure. Burlington is small so most things you want to do are within walking distance--good restaurants, some shopping, etc. Service is great, typical Marriott quality. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for.
Spectacular views. Nice cozy little bar with great lake views. Upscale rooms furnishings. Super good staff.

When choosing a hotel for our trip to Burlington, our most important selection criteria was that it had to be within walking distance of Church Street, Burlington's pedestrianized downtown shopping/eating area. Surprisingly, there were only a few hotels which met this criteria, so we ended up at the Courtyard.
We got a room with a king sized bed and a pull-out couch - there were three of us - on the third floor. The room was clean and good value, but nothing special...not that it mattered since we spent very little time in our room!
The hotel offers parking in a nearby parking garage for an additional fee. I'm sure this would be worth it during the week, but we were there Sunday to Monday, so we were able to park on the street for free.
Proximity to Church Street and to Lake Champlain was a very important feature for us.
