Smuggler's Notch Inn

Great Family Resort

We stayed at Smuggler's Notch 12/10-12/17/05. The resort was very nice and well kept. My only complaint about the resort is that while we were there we got about 30 inches on snow in the coarse of the week and the resort did not clean the snow from infront of the entrances to the condo units. You basically had to wade through the snow to get to your room. I wouldn't let that discourage you from coming to this resort. My boyfriend and I do not ahve children but when we do we will come back here. They had tons of childrens programs, babysitting, and lots of family activities. There were 3 resturants at the resort a little overpriced but it was worth the extra cost not to have to drive out into town. They had a great pizza place that delivered to your room. They also have a great store where you can buy just about anything you need. I would recommend bringing most of your groceries with you as they are a little overpriced. The grocery stores in town were nice and normally priced.

Unique Quality: The unit it's self was excellent. We stayed in the Evergreen complex. We had a 2 bedroom, 2 bath, full living room with wood buring fire place. The provide the wood and a little bit of news paper and starter sticks. Once the starter sticks were gone we called to get more and they said we had to purchase it at the store. We improvised and didn't bother paying for more. The master bedroom had a huge jacuzzi for two and a nice stand up shower. The kicthen was fully stocked with just about anything you'd need. The lifts for mogal mouse were right outside of the door. They provide a shuttle to the other mountains that are much higher and have nicer runs. The Modonna lift was great- a little slow but had a great exit and it really is a long run. Crowds - What Crowds. We didn't have to wait in a single lift line!! This is a great family place but don't come here expecting a party scene b/c you won't find one.
