More about Rabbit Hill Inn
Rabbit Hill Inn is the BEST
My husband and I would never consider staying anywhere but the Rabbit Hill Inn when we go to see fall foliage every year. We have been going there since 1992 and the quality is as excellent always. Delicious and creatively presented food, beautiful rooms (each with a theme), owners and staff who truly care about your comfort - Rabbit Hill Inn has it all! As long as they're there, we'll be too!
Rabbit Hill Inn: an Unforgetable Experience
This was our 11th stay at Rabbit Hill Inn. We go in the Fall for hiking and in the Winter for snow shoeing. The area is wonderful for these activities. We have found Rabbit Hill Inn to be consistently fabulous. Brian and Leslie Mulcahy, the inn- keepers are always most welcoming and accomodating, as is their staff. They keep the Inn immaclate and beautiful, no matter how busy they are.
The rooms are filled with beautiful antiques, and meet every need. Many of them have whirl pool tubs which are very luxurious after a day out of doors. A lovely tea awaits the guests from 2:00 on. The Inn serves both breakfast and dinner, with the menu changing frequently. The food is absolutely delicious. The chef is most creative and has made special surprise meals for us. The wait staff are wonderful, friendly, and attentive. The host or hostess, and often Brian and Leslie themselves make sure that the service and atmosphere are perfect.
Every evening, the staff turns down the guests' beds and lights the many candles and oil lamps. Along with the gas fire places in the rooms, this makes for a most romantic and relaxing experience.
We especially enjoy doing the Stave puzzles in the comfortable sittling room. Brian and Leslie are always getting new ones to challenge the guests. They are the most unique and beautiful hand made jig saw puzzles.
Rabbit Hill Inn is so much more than just a place to stay. It is an unforgetable experience.
Rabbit Hill Inn is a romanitc destination beyond compare
We have been returning to Rabbit Hill Inn since 2001. This is the perfect place to stay for romance, fine-dining, quiet times, and the beautfiul landscape of Eastern Vermont.
Brian and Leslie have truly become friends. They open up their home warmly...graciously. The staff is second to none, and the food is OUTSTANDING.
I have often joked about needing to be on the payroll, as I am always talking to people about checking them out. You will not be dissapointed in your stay. Unless you are only staying one night.

Some Enchanted Evening at the Rabbit Hill Inn
The Rabbit Hill Inn is a most romantic and lovely place. My husband and I spent a night there recently and found our room, the innkeepers, the inn staff and the food all to be excellent! We stayed in the luxurious Jonathan Cummings suite where the staff put on romantic music and lit small candles for our evening there. The innkeepers were friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was not only delicious, but presented beautifully. Everything about the inn was very clean and appealing. We had a screened porch in our room that overlooked the mountains. It was so peaceful and serene there. I keep thinking about it and wanting to go back soon! If you are looking for a quiet, romantic place to go, this is it!
a little piece of heaven in this crazy world
We just returned from another wonderful stay at Rabbit HIll Inn in Lower Waterford, Vt
this time we took my brother and his wife along because they were interested in actually seeing for themselves what we continue to rave about after each visit. To say the least they were totally impressed - the staff was attentive, the accommodations were beautiful and oh so comfortable - food superb - Chef Jeffrey always creates something wonderful and delicious for dinner and of course, we can never get enough of the puzzles!!! The Innkeepers, Brian & Leslie, and the rest of the staff always make us feel like family
The location is great - not far from Franconia Notch, Ben & Jerry's, Cabot Creamery - Cannon Mountain, skiing in the winter, hiking, kayaking in the summer
the grounds around the Inn are a perfect place to just kick back and relax, take a leisurely walk along the river or just enjoy the view from the front porch - relax, breathe, enjoy and return over and over again to be pampered by the best
The Inn's rooms are all beautiful - jacuzzi's in some, fireplaces in most, some fancier than others, we"ve stayed in many of them but Music is our particular favorite with windows on both sides, bright and sunny with a terrific view - in the main house with a warm cozy fireplace and oh so soft and snuggly canopy bed!!!
Breakfasts are sumptuous- muffins, coffee cakes, homemade granola and yogurt, fresh fruit, fresh squeezed orange juice, and a choice of two hot entrees - I guarantee you won't go hungry here! Afternoon tea is always a treat - in the summertime there is lemonade, cookies and tea cakes, and in the winter there is hot tea or cocoa - treats like mom used to make to warm you heart and soul!
We have stayed in Bed & Breakfast's and Inns throughout the country and have yet to find one that matches the standards set by Rabbit Hill Inn - it's no wonder most of the guest you meet there have been returning to Rabbit Hill over and over again!
An unforgettable Inn
The young man who greeted us as we arrived was to say the least 'effusive', which we found rather amusing! More was to follow! Our bedroom (Canopy) was charming with soft music playing, and had a shared balcony with a lovely view; unfortunately the other guests sharing it sat out after dinner, drinking and talking loudly way past our bed time. The food was of a very high standard and although the menu did not change during our 3 day stay we managed to have a variety of choices. We did not succumb to the temptation of the afternoon tea on display each day, in order to leave room for dinner! The turn-down service was beyond belief, with the soft music again, candles lit and fire glowing, with a gift and a rabbit on the bed! A very well run Inn, Leslie and Brian make every effort to pamper their guests - and succeed! Very memorable stay!
What a find!!
At the last minute we decided to head to Vt and were lucky to find a room (actually we had to move into another room on the 2nd night at Rabbit Hill. Brian and Leslie win our award for the top innkeeper any where. They are warm, welcoming and eager to please. The common rooms draw you in whether to chat with others or to work on the Stave wooden puzzles (these defy description so check out their website0. Then there's the restaurant. The only mistake we made was not eating there both nights. We can't wait to return.
Our favorite inn in New England
We love the Rabbitt Hill and have stayed there numerous times during all four seasons. It provides a friendly atmosphere of calm and luxury in a gorgeous little New England village. The rooms are elegant and well appointed. The afternoon tea is always welcome after a day of touring or walking, with delicious pastries and tea or lemonade. The inn itself is a combination of up-to-date facilities and period construction and the innkeepers are helpful without being intrusive. The restaurant is excellent and the service top-notch. We would recommend the Rabbit Hill to anyone looking for a restful and pampered stay away from it all.

Why go anywhere else?
My wife and I have stayed at RHI many times over the last 20 years. Indeed, we honeymooned there and have been drawn back to it ever since. There is simply no other inn like it and no other innkeepers who care as much about the comfort of their guests as Brian and Leslie. While traveling in New England, I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else. In a word, it feels like home.
